  20. I made a similar choice a while ago, I sold my 486 dx50 vl and
  21. bought a Blizzard IV 50Mhz + 4Mg a 540mg HD. I also now have a
  22. Multisync monitor, an Amitek HD Disk drive and have installed
  23. Shapeshifter, (WOW). and I am very happy that I did.

  25. If I really have to run Word 6 (which is'nt often enough to
  26. keep it on my system) I can run the Mac version. (I've replaced
  27. my 4mg simm).

  29. The Amiga is a joy to use, the PC and Win95 was a joke!

  31. My 9.15Mip Amiga has much more performance and cool software
  32. than my 46mip PC ever did.

  34. Granted rendering will be slower.

  36. Why not buy an A1260 board (with the 040>-060 lib patches,
  37. rendering is stunningly quick)

  39. I will be doing some animation soon for a Hospital video,
  40. (animated MRI images) I can edit these and produced proper
  41. field based interlaced Anims with overscan (of course) with
  42. Clarrisa 2.0 (I got this FREE on the front of a magazine)

  44. There are so meny jobs I've done recently, that I know I
  45. could'nt do If I had changed platforms (and I did think about
  46. it)

  48. There is'nt a worse computer than the PC, (o.k. maybee the
  49. Sword M5?)

  55. 3D ---- No problems, buy Lightwave 4 and don't look back!

  57. Simple comms? whare have you been, IBrowse, AS225r, Amitcp,
  58. Mindwalk, voyager, AMIRC, AMFTP, AMIPhone, CUSEEME, FTP
  59. mount.... a lot of these packages are better than their PC
  60. counterparts.
